Business Portraits

This is one of the very first product lines that Missy started doing in the late 80′s and continues today.  Sessions are 30minute-1 hour sessions.  1-3 outfits.  Limited License Release comes with the session fee.

For your convenience, we can bring a studio on location (to your office) in order to photograph several individuals. We have found that this is much better when we need a uniform look, have deadlines or trying to get everyone together.  While we love taking the standard portraits with the backdrop and all the proper lighting, we also love the opportunity photographing our business clients in their working environment and/or attire.

A quick story.  Many of you may know that Missy is an accomplished sewer.  It is her hobby.  Laura Jenkins Thompson was coming to Birmingham to lead a workshop with the local Smocking Arts Guild.  She called to see if Missy to take her portrait while she was here.  She was writing a new book, redoing her website and needed a new business portrait for the publications she contributed to.

Miz Laura was dressed in a nice suit.  Hair and make up well done. Those of you who know and love Miz Laura would know this is not her normal “Sewing School” attire.  Missy took the portraits, got the proofs back and Laura liked them.  However, as Missy was showing Miz Laura the proofs, Missy noticed that Laura was wearing one of her custom designed, hand made, fine Irish linen blouses with beautiful embellishments and french lace. A beautiful hand made couture jacket and a beautiful linen skirt (of course she designed and made).  And of course, the jewlry that she wears.   She looked like the Miz Laura everyone knows and loves! When the workshop broke for lunch, Missy and Laura went outside for a few more photos.  Laura is still using one of those photos for her business portrait today.

It is important that your business portraits portray to the world what you do.  From the clothing, enviroment and even using props.
