Alligator Sign, photographer in Birmingham AL

Signs

We just got home from a week at the beach.  We have lovely beaches along the Gulf Coast and we enjoy visiting them and vegging for a week.  I feel totally relaxed and refreshed! Something about watching the waves move back and forth on the water… ‘sigh’.

When I went for a walk, most of the time I would take a camera.  You never know what you will see.  I really like this sign-

Nice to know that we can share the road with cars. :-)

This next sign really worries me, in a humorous way-

Alligator Sign, photographer in Birmingham ALOK, so the road I was walking on had a little swampy area on one side and a golf course on the other side. And we all know in the deep deep south, you are going to run into the occasional alligator.  It really worries me that there has to be a warning sign posted “Alligators are not pets  Stay Back & DO NOT FEED”!!!!!!!!  What do people do when they see an alligator in the wild?  Say “Here ‘gator ‘gator….”  Then feed it their dog or small child?  Now if it were me, and I came across an alligator while walking, I would try to get a few photographs or video (I do have my priorities) then I would get out of there before the alligator decides I am his next meal!  I certainly would not try to feed him.

You will be happy to know that no ‘gators were harmed in the making of this blog post.  I never did see a ‘gator while on my walks.  And remember, if you encounter an alligator while visiting the deep deep south, “Alligators are not pets!  Stay back and do not feed!”
